WELCOME PARTY (Date: 17th October 2003)

Welcome party held at FTC Auditorium on the 17th October 2003, organized by KSN. As it is the tradition of student’s network to welcome the new comers with all of their enthusiasm. The highlights of the party were skits, dramas, fashion show etc.

CRICKET TOURNAMENT (Date: 26th September 2003)

The tournament was arranged at Nishtar Cricket Ground. Six teams participated in the tournament. The final match was played between Wolf Pack and Faculty. Wolf Packs won the match by 29 runs and took the trophy.

Seminar on ‘leadership challenges in the 21st Century’

A seminar was conducted by Ms. Shirieen Naqvi, Chief Executive Officer of The School of leadership, Karachi on December 10, 2003. The session was arranged for the students of Business Administration to acquaint them with the latest leadership concepts.

Seminar on Satellite Communication

On June 15th 2003, Dr. Abdul Majid, former Chairman, Pakistan Space & Upper Atmospheric Research Commission (Suparco) was invited at KASBIT as a guest speaker to deliver a lecture on Satellite Communication- Future prospectus in Pakistan. He spoke on the SUPARCO’S contribution to create Satellite tracking and ground control stations and Satellite navigation. He also provided some details about the Pakistan’s First satellite BADR -1 and BADR -2 and explained their functions with the help of slides.

Seminar on Open Source Development

The KASBIT computer Society organized a Seminar on” OPEN SOURCE DEVELOPMENT”. Conducted by Mr.Salman A. Qayam Advisor Information Technology Specialist IBM Pakistan. He discussed important issues relating to the resources available grounds for research and development Mr.Qayam also briefed the audience about the application development over Linux platform.

Seminar on Corporate Governance

As the new ideas arises every where especially in the field of Business this is a need of time to upgrade the skills not only on an individual basis but as an organization as well. Mr.Jabbar Qasim a Finance Consultant delivered a Lecture on CORPORATE GOVERNANCE. He discussed the basics of corporate governance its code and its application in the perspective of Pakistan.
